MARINE ASSOCIATION   OF THE BVI EST. 1996

HOW CAN YOU HELP THE BVI?

The BVI has a number of non-profit organisations and charities that could use your help, some (below) even have initiatives that are specific to people visiting or travelling to and from the BVI.

ARK (Association of Reef Keepers) - Reef Conservation
BVI Humane Society
BVI Red Cross
Family Support Network
PAW (Promoting Animal Welfare) - Animal Welfare
VISAR (Virgin Islands Search and Rescue) - (There may be a fee already included in your charter for this)
YEP (Youth Empowerment Program)

PACK FOR A PURPOSE

Pack for a Purpose provides travellers with the current information they need to take requested supplies for community-based projects around the globe. When you take your selected supplies you can drop them at your accommodation or with your tour company knowing they will be delivered directly to the project.

When you Pack for a Purpose, please take only the specify items requested by the community-based projects. The lists have been well-researched and unrequested items, even with the best of intention, are largely inappropriate for the communities are are likely to have few short-term and no long-term benefits.

Some of the BVI Tourism operators have engaged with Pack for a Purpose both for unique programs and also for existing causes, such as FSN, YEP, and PAW.
