MARINE ASSOCIATION OF THE BVI EST. 1996
Ports of entry
The Ports of Entry in the BVI are currently closed to visiting yachts due to COVID-19. No vessel should enter BVI waters without prior permission. This is strictly enforced and Innocent Passage has been suspended.
BVI-Based Crewed Yachts which are BVI-Flagged with BVI Trade Licenses, and Belonger/Work Permitted crew can be repatriated. This is coordinated through the BVI Charter Yacht Society.
Private vessels can be brought into the BVI by Government-authorised crews only, on a case by case basis, and with no passengers on board.
We hope to be able to welcome visitors back to the BVI via the sea as soon as the Government deems it safe to do so. In the meantime, it is still possible to fly in and meet your yacht and the BVI anchorages are more peaceful than they have been in decades.
